The rate at which AI is developing and breaking ground is so alarming and if care is not taken, AI might take over and overthrow humans, the AI hospital that just Opened in China is good proof of that. Do you think it’s possible for AI to overthrow humans? The time will surely tell.
Recently, China announced the launch of the world’s first virtual AI hospital, named “Agent Hospital”, a pioneering project developed by researchers at Tsinghua University. This innovative digital health facility is equipped with a team of 14 artificial intelligence-powered doctors and 4 AI nurses, capable of handling a large volume of patients – up to 10,000 – within a matter of days, a feat that would typically require human medical professionals several years to accomplish.
Notably, the AI doctors have demonstrated a high level of competence, achieving a 93.06% accuracy rate on the US Medical Licensing Exam questions. Slated to become operational in the second half of 2024, Agent Hospital is poised to transform the healthcare landscape by introducing novel approaches to diagnosis and treatment. Initially, the hospital will focus on training medical students, with plans to expand its services to patients nationwide in the future.
However, The researchers shed light on the practical implications of this novel approach to health care.
Tsinghua University researchers recently created the “Agent Hospital” in this virtual world, where all doctors, nurses, and patients are controlled by intelligent agents powered by large language models (LLMs) that can interact autonomously.
In conclusion,The world’s first virtual AI hospital, named “Agent Hospital”, has been developed by Tsinghua University researchers in China.
This innovative facility utilizes 14 AI doctors and 4 AI nurses, capable of providing care to 10,000 patients within days, a task that would usually take human doctors two years to complete.
